| The picture shows a view of all (4) Different Old Dick Jane & Sally Basic Reader School Books in this lot. The top left one has a soft cover and the other three are hard covers. The blue one is ©1951. The yellow one is ©1962. The pink one and green one are both ©1963. These books are filled with colorful pages of 1950s and 1960s nostalgic images including toys, cars, carnival rides and games, people, bicycles, wagons, toy store, animals, dolls, and much, much, more... The stories are from back in a much simpler day. They have elementary text that taught many millions of children to read. The blue book has (50) pages, the pink one (98) pages, the yellow one (162) pages and the green one has (242) pages. These are for different levels of reading. To judge the sizes the three largest books each measure 6-5/8'' x 8-3/4''. The books appear to range from good to excellent used condition as pictured. There is some normal wear and tear, writing, names, and school stampings from use. The green and yellow ones are former Rochester, New Hampshire city school books. |
