Behind the cross is a tiny cloth section in a recessed area. What this relic is is unknown. There are (10) metal beads around the edge. The 10 beads are one decade of the rosary which can be recited 5 times for a complete rosary prayer. The two sides are marked as follows: HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE
