The picture shows a view of all (8) Old Advertising & Souvenir Elongated Cents in this lot. These were all made by a vending machine that rolls a penny between dies. These machines are usually found at popular locations, tourist attractions, arcades, airports, amusement parks, Historical sites, or any number of other similar places.

The first elongated cent here is a religious one. It has The Lord's Prayer on a 1971-D Lincoln Memorial cent. It is enclosed in a blown glass bottle.

The next coin has an image of the state of New York. It is marked:

180th ANNIVERSARY
NEW YORK
1788 - 1968

The next one has a banner that can be engraved. It has a good luck horse shoe and it reads:

COLLECTOR OF
ELONGATED COINS
1966

Next there is one that has a four leaf clover and a horseshoe good luck symbols. It reads:

LUCKY CENT

The next coin has an image of the state of Georgia. It is marked:

180 YEARS
GEORGIA
1788 - 1968

The next one is a souvenir from The Franklin Park Zoo. It has an image of a lion's head and it is marked:

FRANKLIN PARK ZOO

Next there is one that has an image of a man and praying hands. It reads:

MIDWIFE TO THE TFX
AND NOW GUARDIAN
OF THE DOLLAR AT

LET US PRAY

The last of the elongated cents in this lot is another Christian or Catholic one. It simply has an image of a cross.

These each measure around 1-1/2'' long. They are in excellent to mint condition as pictured.
