| | | | The picture below shows larger front anf back views of all (9) Palma De Mallorca Spain U.S. Navy Sailor Bar & Restaurant Advertising Discount Cards in this lot. One side of the cards is on the left and the other side is pictured on the right. Often when a U.S. Navy ship pulls into a common Liberty port, the ship, or information location is provided with many brochures, flyers, discount cards, and more to lure Sailors into their businesses or establishments. These are some cards that gave discounts, or a free drink, that would be offered. These were acquired in 1984 while in the U.S. Navy in Palma De Mallorca, Spain. The quantities and locations included here are as follows: (3) ALEXANDRA’S DISCOTECA – These open to show multiple locations and there is a map on the back.
(1) SHANGRILA RESTAURANT – Chinese & International Cuisine (U.S. Navy & U.S. Marines)
(1) THE GREEN PARROT PUB & GRILL RESTAURANT – Pictures a Parrot Bird & a Tramp.
(4) BAR DALLAS – DALLAS SALOON & BAR – LONE STAR CAFE – Cowboy, cactus, & oil well. All nine of these for one price! To judge the sizes the bottom cards each measure about 4-7/8'' x 3''. The top and bottom cards all appear to be in mint unused condition. The left center one is has a U.S.O. stamping and it is heavily creased or wrinkled. The right center one has a stamping and writing. |
