The picture shows a view of this 1956 Rin Tin Tin Mechanical Cavalry Rifle Premium Ballpoint Ink Pen. This was an advertising premium that was offered by Nabisco Shredded wheat cereal in 1956. There is a spring loaded lever on the side that withdraws the pen. It is released with the trigger. It works perfectly. The ink pen itself does not write because of age. There is some detail on the gun and the side is marked:

RIN TIN TIN

The rifle pen measures 5-5/8'' long. Aside from dried ink it is in mint condition as pictured.
