The picture shows a view of the 1952 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Letter and Envelope in this lot. The letter is dated and the envelope is post marked December 29th, 1952. The envelope or cover has a three cent Thomas Jefferson postage stamp. This letter was sent from the Circus Headquarters in Sarasota, Florida to a Hawthorne, Massachusetts address. The letter was in response to one they received concerning acquiring a 1952 route book. It is signed by J. R. Griffin, Auditor. It was written on company letterhead and both have a beautiful image of elephants, a horse, and a clown. It also has ''THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH'' globe logo. To judge the sizes the letter measures 7-1/4'' x 10-1/2''. Both appear to be in near mint condition as pictured. The letter has two folds from mailing.
