| | | | The pictures below show larger views all around this Heavy Old James Dean Actor Stoneware or Pottery Head Art Sculpture. We do not see any name, signature, or marking. The Artist and the year that this sculpture was made is unknown. It appears to be made of brownish red fired clay or stoneware. It has a lot of detail and was made in a great likeness of the Actor James Dean. The sculpture came from the estate of a long time loyal fan after her passing. The sculptured head roughly measures about 5-1/2'' x 8-1/4'' x 7''. It weighs about 9 pounds. It appears to be in excellent condition. In the last picture below you can see two cracks from inside the head from when it was made or fired as pictured. One inch of he crack on the front of the neck shows on the outside. The one on the back does not go all the way through to the outside. |
