It is believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s. It could have also been a mail away premium as well. They were designed by Sam Berman and produced by the LePere Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. It is a figurine bank in the shape of an elephant. There is a bank like slot on top to insert your old used razor blades. The elephant could also be used as a coin savings bank.
