The picture shows a close view of the front of this 1952 United States Army / Navy Blue Nose Card. The back is blank. This is similar to the Shellback card given out in the Navy when the Equator is crossed. This card was given out for crossing the Arctic Circle. In the background printed in blue is a Polar Bear as well as a glacier or iceberg. It is marked in black as follows:

YE ROYAL ORDER OF THE
BLUE NOSE
THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT
CPL ALBERT ARIGO
WHILE SERVING WITH THE
373rd. T.M.P. DET. NO. 3
CROSSED THE ARCTIC CIRCLE ON 24 JUNE 1952 A.D.
