| | | The pictures below show a larger front and back view of all (3) Old Hassan Cigarettes Advertising Premium Celluloid Pin Back Buttons in this lot. These pinback buttons were part of an 1896 collection of pinback buttons that we had acquired. They were used as a premium from Hassan Cigarettes. They appear to be from the same set. It is unknown how many are in the complete set. Each of these pinback buttons have an image of a comic or cartoon character from the Victorian period with the Artist's printed facsimile signature. Two of the three have a Hassan Cigarette and Whitehead & Hoag Company advertising paper inserts in the back. One paper insert is missing. In the order pictured, they are marked as follows:

PATENTED All of these for one price! The pin back buttons each measure 7/8'' wide. Except for the one missing paper insert, they appear to range from excellent to mint condition as pictured. One has a rust spot on the back edge. |
