| | | | The picture shows a view of all (6) Old Borden Elsie The Cow Advertising Premium Toy Rings & Charms in this lot. These are not dated but the rings are believed to be from the mid 1950s when different cereal companies were having similar prize rings with characters inserted in the boxes. It is unknown how Borden offered these rings and charms, perhaps with their dairy products, as a store promotion, or as a giveaway at one of their World's Fair Exhibits. Included are three copper coated plastic charms, a white plastic charm with a string, and two toy rings. The charms are marked ''ELSIE'' below her image. The two rings are red. Each ring has an imprinted insert center that picture Elsie with a flower necklace. They are marked as follows: ELSIE
© THE BORDEN CO. To judge the sizes the ring tops each measure about 3/4'' x 5/8''. These are believed to be unused. They appear to be in mint as made condition as pictured except for some old spotting on the center charm. |
