The picture shows a view of all (4) Colorful Old New Orleans Louisiana Post Cards in this lot. The first postcard is used and the other three are unused. All of them are old. The first one was postmarked from New Orleans, Louisiana on March 27, 1943. It is also postmarked ''GIVE RED CROSS WAR FUND''. The postage stamp area is marked ''FREE'' because it was sent by a (named) U.S. Army Lieutenant to his daughter during World War II. The postcard has a neatly written message on the back and it was mailed to a North Dartmouth, Massachusetts address.

The card pictures many young children (both boys and girls) in fancy clothes (suits and dresses) or costumes for The Children's Carnival Pageant. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

THE CHILDREN'S CARNIVAL PAGEANT, MARDI GRAS, NEW ORLEANS, LA. - 172
(information about the Mardi Gras Pageant)
NEW ORLEANS - AMERICA'S MOST INTERESTING CITY
MADE IN U.S.A. BY E. C. KROPP CO., MILWAUKEE, WIS.

The next postcard pictures a cemetery and chapel with old buildings, tombs or crypts, and mourning people. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

ST. ROCH'S CEMETERY & CHAPEL, NEW ORLEANS, LA.
A SELIGE PUB. CO., ST. LOUIS, MO. NO.4786. (MADE IN GERMANY.)

The third postcard is unused. It pictures an airplane view of New Orleans and the Mississippi River. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

AEROPLANE VIEW OF NEW ORLEANS, LA. - 30
(information about the Mississippi River in ''The Crescent City'')
NEW ORLEANS - AMERICA'S MOST INTERESTING CITY
MADE IN U.S.A. BY E. C. KROPP CO., MILWAUKEE, WIS.

The fourth and final postcard in this lot (also unused) pictures an old French Market scene with buildings, old automobiles, delivery truck, wagons, people, and more. It is marked on the front and back as follows:

FRENCH MARKET, NEW ORLEANS, LA.
FRENCH MARKET, NEW ORLEANS, LA. This market is built on the same site the Indians used for trading purposes before the coming of the white men to the State.
MADE IN U.S.A.
PUB. BY C. B. MASON, NEW ORLEANS, LA.

The post cards measure about 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. They appear to be in excellent used to near mint unused condition as pictured.
