The picture shows a view of both sides of this World War I United States Food Administration Flag Shield Pin. This pin is not dated but it is from 1917 to 1919. It is a brass pin with a wheat wreath around the sides and encased is a celluloid inset with a red, white, and blue flag shield. The back reads:

WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO.
NEWARK, N.J.
DORAN PATENT

It measures 7/8" wide and is in very good condition with an indent in the center as pictured.
