|There are two pictures showing a view of the front and back of this Early 1900's Crispette Popcorn Confection Heavy Paper Advertising Sign. At one time Crispette was a regional competitor to both Cracker Jack and Shotwells Checkers Pop Corn Confection.|
The sign is printed in yellow, red, green, and blue. It has a floral border and is marked as follows:
TRY THE NEW 20th CENTURY POP CORN
FIVE CENTS A PACKAGE
The back is very interesting and I feel that it adds a lot of character to this sign. The sign was re-used to advertise an apartment or house for rent.
The back is marked (in dark green paint) as follows:
$17 - 00/100
- - - - - - - - - - -
1536 - - - - R
The sign measures 14" x 11". It is in the condition as seen in the picture with wear, tears, spots and missing corners.
