The picture shows this opened Large Old Shotwell's Long Tom Candy Store Display Cigar Box. Also shown are the ends of the box with advertising. The graphics are on the inside of the connected lid. The box contains what is believed to be the original lining paper. The outside of the box is all simulated wood grain with the exception of the applied stickers on the ends. The box originally held (72) candy cigars that had cost only 1 cent each. The closed box measures 16-5/8" x 5-3/4" x 3". It is in excellent condition. There is one small tear on the lids edge that can be seen at the top of the picture. The Shotwell Manufacturing Company was a strong competitor to the Cracker Jack Company.
