Red Raven   Children   Movie   Record   Music   Nostalgic
The pictures show a view of both sides of each of the (2) ©1956 Red Raven Childrens Movie Records in this lot. These are 78 rpm records. The first one is made of green plastic and the second one is red. The songs include:

Old MacDonald Had A Farm
Little White Duck
The Little Red Engine
Tootles The Tug

These records, with their faceted mirror circus tent device that you place on top, spins and shows motion of the little 16-frame animation cycles. Based on the "Zoetrope" effect in which a series of pictures when spun create the illusion of motion by way of a special device. There is an animated effect, rather like a praxinoscope, made the pictures come to life.

The records each measure 8-3/8'' wide. The labels appear to be in near mint to mint condition. The records have some small scratches from use. Since we do not have 78 rpm capability here these were not tried. They are being sold as is.
