| The pictures show views of the (3) 1971 Calgary Exhibition & Stampede Advertising Souvenir Items in this lot. Included here is a program book, a daily programme, and a two sided Calgary map. These items were acquired and saved together as souvenirs of this July 8th to 17th, 1971 event. The (70) page Official Souvenir Program book for ''The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth'' is filled with information on the events, many pictures, and many advertisements pertaining to rodeo, horse racing, western equipment, concerts, shows, casino, and much more. The daily program has (8) pages full of events and entry names. It was for the first day, July 8th, 1971. The back page has a full page advertisement for Maclin Ford Dealership. vehicles mentioned are: Pinto, Maverick, Mustang, Torino, Galaxie 500, Thunderbird, Ranchero, Econoline, Light, Medium, & Heavy Trucks. The Calgary map that is included was from Happy Valley ESSO gas station. It has two sides. One of the City of Calgary and another of the downtown area. There is much advertising on it for local businesses of 1971. To judge the sizes the program book measures 8-1/2'' x 11''. These appear to be in excellent used condition with some wear as pictured. The map has folds. |
