The picture shows a view of both sides of this Old Charles W. Morgan Sailing Ship Advertising Souvenir Medal Token Coin. The token or coin has a hole at the top as made to hang as a pendant or medallion. It appears to be made of brass. One side of this octagon shaped medal has a detailed image of the ship under full sail. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

CHARLES W. MORGAN
1841 - 1921

THE CHARLES W. MORGAN, LAST OF THE AMERICAN WOODEN WHALE SHIPS, MADE MORE TRIPS AND TOOK MORE WHALES THAN ANY OTHER VESSEL OF HER TIME. SHE IS NOW PERMANENTLY BERTHED AT MYSTIC SEAPORT, MYSTIC, CONNECTICUT.

SOUVENIRS INC., N.Y.

This medal or coin measures about 1-1/4'' wide. It appears to be in excellent condition, but it has what looks like old glue on the back as pictured. It may have been attached to something at one time.
