The picture shows a view of this Old Unused Boxed Enesco Porcelain or Ceramic Dinner Prayer Napkin Holder Figurine. Neither the box nor the figurine are dated but they are believed to be from the late 1940s or 1950s. It was probably sold in a five & dime store, given as a gift and never used. The figurine saw daylight for the first time when it was being photographed.

The figurine is of a young lady in a dress with her hands together and eyes closed in prayer. It is nicely made with detail. It is glazed in pink, brown, black, and green. There is a section behind her (not pictured) to hold napkins. On the front of her dress or apron it is marked (in old English) as follows:

Dinner Prayer
Be present at our table, Lord,
be here and everywhere adored.
These morsels bless,
and grant that we
May feast in paradise
with Thee.
Amen

On the bottom there is a red and gold foil globe sticker and some numbers. They read as follows:

ENESCO
IMPORTS JAPAN
E-2826
119

The box is corregated cardboard with a printed paper label that pictures the napkin holder figurine. Note: two of the letter ''N'' on the label are backwards. It is marked as follows:

MOTHER - IN - THE - KITCHEN
NAPKIN HOLDER
E-2826
1 PIECE
JAPAN
ENESCO GIFT IMPORT

To judge the sizes the figurine measures about 6-1/4'' tall. The figurine is in mint unused condition. The box has age discoloration and some shelf wear as pictured. The figure is wrapped in the original tissue paper that is a little discolored from contact with the box.
