The picture shows a view of this Old Bavarian Girl Clown Mechanical Valentine Greeting Card. This card is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. When the tab at the bottom is pulled the girl dances. The arms and legs move independently. The card is nicely printed. The pretty girl is wearing a colorful clown costume with hearts and flowers and a hat. She is holding hearts in her hands and has bows on her feet. There is a curled paper and hearts background and it is marked as follows:

TO MY VALENTINE

MY LOVE SAYS ''YES''
AND I FEEL SO GAY,
IF YOU PULL THE STRING
I'LL DANCE ALL DAY.

ERCEST WISTER LONDON.
PRINTED IN BAVARIA
NO. 889
E. P. DUTTON & CO. NEW YORK

The Valentine card measures the same as a standard post card 3-1/2'' x 5-1/2''. It is in excellent condition with some soiling on the tab from use as pictured.
