| | | | The picture shows five views of this RARE 1940's Superman Premium Airplane Toy Ring. The ring does not have the airplane that goes on top, but this base is complete, in nice condition, and has a good launcher spring as pictured. I can only imagine how many of the tiny airplanes were lost when launched from the ring. This ring base has an embossed flying airplane on both sides. It was offered offered on Superman and other radio shows as well as a boxtop mail away cereal premium. There are two different airplanes that this base was offered with. One was called "SUPERMAN PEP AIRPLANE" (Kellogg's PEP Cereal premium) and the other was "SUPER F-87 JET PLANE" (Kellogg's Corn Flakes Cereal box top premium). In either case they are equally as rare. Even without an airplane this is still a nice toy premium ring. It measures 3/4" wide. It is in excellent condition still retaining almost all of its original luster. |
