| | | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Syroco or Multiproducts Dog Figurine. The figure is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s when many of these figures and small statues were made. The figure is made of a compressed molded wood fiber. We believe that a metal bookend was once attached to the bottom of the back, but it is not there now. It is very detailed but there are no markings. We do not know what breed of dog this might be. The dog measures about 3-1/2'' x 5-7/8'' x 1-3/8''. It appears to be in excellent condition with a small chip on the top of the back as pictured. The figure stands well, but since it has a flat back it can stand against the back of a shelf. A bookend section could be re-applied if desired. It could then be used as a bookend or doorstop. |
