| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of this Colorful 1942 Betty Grable Dixie Lid Ice Cream Premium Movie Star Picture Card. These colorful premium movie star cards, (as well as World War II military and sports cards) were offered from 1934 to 1953. The cards are not dated but this one has been identified as being from the 1942 set of (24) cards. To acquire the premium movie star cards you were required to mail in (12) dixie cup ice cream lids for each picture card received in the mail. These cards came with holes pre punched on the side to save them in an album. On the front is a colorful image of the actress and on the back is information and some movies or movie scenes that she had appeared. This card measures 8'' x 10''. It appears to be in near mint condition as pictured. |
