The picture shows the covers of all (3) Old Game Instruction Books & Booklet in this lot.

The first book has a colorful cover. It is entitled:


"CHAMPIONSHIP CHECKERS SIMPLIFIED"

It is ©1937 and published in New York, N.Y. by William (Willie) F. Ryan (World's Champion Professional). He is pictured at the top left on the cover and in a picture inside. This (50) page book has many instructions and images of checkerboards. This book was dedicated to past checker masters including:

James Wyllie
Robert Martins
Andrew Anderson
Robert D. Yates
Richard Jordan
George Buchanan
Charles F. Barker
Clarence Freeman
James P. Reed
James Ferrie
Alfred Jordan
Hugh Henderson
Robert Stewart
Samuel Gonotsky

It is in very good condition with some normal wear from use.

The next book is entitled:


"THE CHECKER PRIMER INCLUDING BACKGAMMON AND DICE"

It is by "The Major" and ©1887 published by Excelsior Publishing House, Platt & Nourse Company of New York. The book has (44) pages filled with very detailed instructions for many checkers or draughts games as well as many dice games and backgammon games. It is in very good condition with overall normal wear from use.

The last item in this lot is a (6) panel instruction brochure. It is entitled: "INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLAY CHESS". It is ©1942 by the E. S. Lowe Co. of New York City. Many more old games are listed on the back panel. It is in fair condition with wear and soiling from use.

All three of these for one price! To judge the sizes the first book measures 4-3/4" x 7".
