| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Tinted Glass Baby Photograph in Ornate Case. Shown is the inside and outside of the case. It is not dated but believed to be from the mid 1800s. Not sure if this is called a Daguerreotype or not. The photograph is on glass and it is mounted inside an ornate gold frame in the case. The baby's cheeks are lightly tinted pink. The velvet side of the inside of the case has flowers and a banner that is marked as follows: DOBYNS & SPAULDING

ST. LOUIS The outside of the case has raised flowers and fancy boarders. There are two hook latches to hold the case closed. To judge the size each side measures 3-3/16'' x 3-11/16''. The photograph is in good condition with some small flaking spots as pictured. The case has light over all wear and the two halves have separated. This can be repaired. |
