| | | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Ornate Brass & Celluloid Stand Up Desk Calendar. This quality made calendar is not dated, but it is believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The frame section is forged or molded with ornate designs all around. The center section is a thinner tintype metal. The cards with the months and dates are made of blue imprinted celluloid. There are three two sided cards that have all of the months and days of the week, and there are four two sided cards that have all of the date number combinations. These are placed in the front slot for any combination for any year. The maker is unknown and the only marking is on the back and it reads ''JB.2430.''. On the back is also a wire easel to stand the frame. The frame measures about 4'' x 4-1/2''. It appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. The celluloid cards have some wear or light spotting from use. |
