| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of this Old Burned or Stamped Russian Wooden Barrel End Section. The person that we had acquired this from told us that this wooden barrel section was found as driftwood on the shore of Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1960s. They had thought it interesting and saved it all these years. There is partial burned or stamped writing and numbers that could identify it. We can not read Russian and we do not know what the barrel originally contained. There is a wooden plug in it. This end section may have come from a barrel that was once lost at sea from a cargo ship or a sunken ship. This wooden barrel section has rounded ends and it measures 5-1/8'' x 16-1/2'' x 3/4''. It appears to be in good condition as pictured. |
