| | | | The pictures below show four larger views of this Our Lady of La Salette Spelter Crying Virgin Mary Metal Religious Figurine Statue. This religious statue is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. It is of Our Lady of La Salette, the apparition of the weeping Virgin Mary that appeared to two children in the town of La Salette, in the French Alps in 1846. This figurine is made of a hollow gold colored cast metal with much detail and craftsmanship. There are no markings, and the maker is also unknown. It was probably made in France, and sold as a religious souvenir. The statue depicts the Virgin Mary in a crown and garments, seated and weeping with her head in her hands. The statue, or figurine measures about 3-5/8'' x 4-5/8'' x 2-1/4''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
