They were all taken by Photograher E. C. Nickerson of Portsmouth, N.H. and are marked as such. Most of them have a written year (1897) and a written name. There are a few of the same person. The ''H.A.'' on some stands for Hampton Academy and the ''H.H.S.'' is believed to be for Hampton High School. They are marked as follows: Class of 1897
