| | | | The picture shows a sample view of one of the (17) 1937 United States Naval Training Station Newport Recruit Newsletters in this lot. Each of these old newsletters has four pages. They are filled with all kinds of pictures, cartoons, articles about base happenings, ship launchings, sports, church, graduations, men honored, songs, events, motion pictures, stories of naval battles, advancements, and much, much more. There is too much to mention in these. There is a 4th of July issue in blue ink, a Navy Day issue in blue ink, a Thanksgiving issue in brown ink and a Christmas issue that is in red, green & black.
