| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Embroidered S. S. Stavangerfjord Ocean Liner Cruise Ship Advertising Cloth Hat Band With Flags. The cloth band is not dated but it is old. The S. S. Stavangerfjord was an ocean liner cruise ship in the Norwegian American Line (N.A.L.) from 1917 - 1940 and from 1945 - 1964. The ship was confiscated in 1940 by Germany and used as a Troop Ship during World War II and returned to the Norwegian American Line in 1945. The ship was scrapped in 1964. The hat band has two flags on it and it is marked as follows: S. S. STAVANGERFJORD The embroidered band measures about 28-1/2'' x 1-1/8''. It appears to be in excellent condition with a tattered end on the left side as pictured. |
