| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old United States Navy Homefront Pin With Service Star Flag Charm. This pin is not dated but it is believed to be from World War II. It is made of red, white, and blue colored celluloid or early plastic. It has a blue ''IN THE NAVY'' pin bar section and a hanging service star flag charm. This would have been worn by a sweetheart, Mother, or other family member of a Sailor who was serving in the war. Each star on the flag would represent one family member that was serving. In this case it was one Serviceman. To judge the size the flag charm measures 11/16'' x 1-1/16''. It is in good used condition as pictured. The bar pin section at the top has curled over time, but it could probably be straightened out or flattened with some heat if desired. That will be left for the buyer to decide. |
