| | | | The pictures show a front and back view of of this Old Porcelain Piz Nair Swiss Mountain Advertising Souvenir Cigarette Ashtray. The ashtray is not dated but it is old. This mountain is above St. Moritz, Switzerland which was the site for the skiing events of the 1948 Winter Olympics. The top has a mountain scene with a building with an aerial tramway and a tower on another peak. It has gold painted trim all around. On the back is a gold and black shield decal with a crown. It is marked on the two sides as follows: PIZ NAIR 3057 m

Range: Albula Alps Piz Nair (3,057 m) is a mountain of the Albula Alps, overlooking St. Moritz in the Swiss canton of GraubŸnden. The summit is easily accessible from the village with a funicular and an aerial tramway, the upper station being located 30 metres below the top. The mountain hosted the alpine skiing events for the 1948 Winter Olympics in neighboring St. Moritz. |
