| | | | The pictures show views of this 1958 U.S.S. Dewey DLG-14 United States Navy Ship Launching Framed Picture. Also shown is the text that is attached to the back. The picture is of the ship being launched with flags flying. A few Sailors can be seen on deck. This picture was purchased from a retired ship yard worker. The matted picture with the frame measures 14-3/4'' x 12-3/4''. The picture appears to be in mint condition and the frame has a few small scuff marks as pictured. She was launched 30 November 1958 and sponsored by Mrs. K. St. George, United States Representative from New York State. Dewey commissioned 7 December 1959, Commander Elmo R. Zumwalt, Jr., in command. She was decommissioned August 31, 1990 and struck November 20, 1992 to be scrapped. |
