| | | | The picture shows two close views of this Unusual Old United States Wheat Cent Coin Baseball Charm. Thid old baseball charm is made from two U.S. Lincoln wheat back cents. There are traces of the wording from the pennies that can be seen such as the word ''CENT'' in two spots. There is recessed or stamped stitching all around the baseball. If there are dates it would be on the obverse of the coins which is on the inside of the ball. They could be anywhere from 1909 to 1958. We have sold a few miniature teapots made of wheat cents in the past, but this is the first baseball that we have ever seen. Why it was made is unknown, but someone had gone through much trouble to create it. It has a copper charm loop at the top and an extra copper link. The charm measures 1/2'' wide. It is in mint as made condition as pictured. |
