The picture shows all (5) Different Mechanical Pencils in this lot. The first pencil is a rifle made out of wood & metal. It appears to be an old Civil War Battlefield souvenir. It is marked on the wood "GETTYSBURG, PA.". There is no maker name. It is mechanical but will require some adjustment. The next one pictured is made of wood & metal. There is no marking on it. Third is a black pencil with a design. This one has two dents in the center. The marking on the pencil reads "872 - SUPPLY - EAGLE PENCIL CO. NEW YORK". The clip is also marked. It reads "EAGLE PENCIL CO. NEW YORK - PATENT JULY 20, 1915" Next is a silver metal "CROSS" pencil. This one will need a cleaning but it operates well. The fifth and final one in this lot is a plumbing advertising pencil for Sloan Royal Flush Valve / Sloan Crown Flush Valve. It has a company name, a Miami phone number as well as "SLOAN - THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR FLUSH VALVE". The erasure is missing but can easily be replaced. These are believed to range from the 1920's to the 1960's. To judge the sizes the longest pencil measures 5-5/8" long. All are in good condition. |
