Native American Indian   Photo   Photography
The picture shows this Early 1900's Native American Indian Woman Photograph. She is nicely centered in the frame. She is wearing a native dress with something applied to the edges. She also has a feather, three strands of beads around her neck as well as on both wrists. Around her waist appears to be a leather apron with an appied design. The applied items that make up the design appear to be shells, beads, and porcupine quills but I can't be sure. Her moccasins also appear to have beadwork. The photograph is not dated but it came with a small lot of others from the 1920's. This could be earlier but I am not sure. The back is blank except a red printed number 213. It measures 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" and it is in near mint condition. There are some vertical lines as can be seen in the scan, these are lines that were on the negative when the old photo was printed.
