The pictures show views of the (2) ©1969 Disabled American Veterans Lunar Moon Posters With Envelopes in this lot. The bonus is shown as well. There are two D.A.V. envelopes. These each have address labels that picture keys with the licence plate tag charms that came from the DAV. The addressee names are crossed out in red but they can still be seen. These two envelopes were sent to a Manchester, Connecticut address. These two were premium gifts for contributions to the Disabled American Veterans. The first envelope (the smaller one) contains a Moon Voyage poster. This explains all of the stages of an Apollo Mission to and from the Moon. Places on the Moon are marked. On the right side there are (23) U.S. Astronauts and some information about each. The poster is by Hammond. It measures about 38'' x 25''. It is in mint condition as pictured with folds as made. The envelope is in excellent condition. The second envelope (the larger one) contains a larger Moon Map. This poster is larger than shown below. It has the Moon mapped and labeled in much detail but that is difficult to see from the small picture. This poster is by Rand McNally & Company. It is huge. It measures about 42'' x 37-1/2''. It is in mint condition with folds as made. The larger envelope is in fair condition with some wear and tear. The bonus that is included here is a January 29th, 1971 newspaper page showing the Apollo 14 crew and their wives which included: Stuart Roosa, Alan B. Shepard, Jr., and Edgar Mitchell. It is in excellent condition as pictured. |
