The picture shows all (13) Small Old World War U.S. Homefront Items in this lot. These are all believed to be from the 1940's except one pinback button from 1918. There is a "BUY WAR BONDS and STAMPS" matchbook cover that pictures an Army Jeep, Cannon, Bomb, Airplane, and an Eagle on a Victory "V". There is a match book cover, pin back button, and a tin fold over tab button from "RED FEATHER SERVICES". There are two "FOURTH LIBERTY LOAN" pinback buttons. One has a red, white, & blue "VOLUNTEER" celluloid insert hanger. The other is missing the replaceable pin. There is an old celluloid "I GAVE" pinback button that is missing the pin also. There is a "BRIDGEPORT COMMUNITY CHEST" pinback. It has a Bastian Brothers paper insert. It appears a little flattened. There are two more fold over tab buttons. One is from the U.S.O. and one has a torch marked "UNITED". There is a WWI "W.S.S. PLEDGED FOR 1918" celluloid pinback button. It has a Whitehead & Hoag paper insert. Last but not least in this lot are two Service Star Flag pins. The first is a small enameled sterling silver pin with one star. The second has two stars and it is made of plastic covered with stones. This one is missing three tiny red stones and the pin on the back. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the right match cover measures 1-1/2" x 4-1/2". These items vary in condition as mentioned above and pictured. |
