The picture shows a view of the (2) Different ©1967 Sherle Big Eyed Children Museum Art Prints in this lot. These old prints are done in soft pastel colors. The two children resemble Harlequin characters. They were done by an Artist named Sherle in the 1960s when many Artists like Gig, Keane, Igor, Eden, Lee, Alvaro, and many others were doing these big eyed or sad children and animal art works. The prints are done on a textured art board. They are not framed and were not meant to be. They each have a ring to hang them by applied to the back as made. The first print is of a young boy in costume holding a party horn. The second one is of a young girl also in costume with a mask and ribbon. She is holding what appears to be a flute or whistle. Except for the name on each they are marked the same on the front and back. They are marked as follows: ©1967 ENCORE ART PRINTS, INC. LITHO IN U.S.A. JACQUES (first print) MIMI (second print) SHERLE MUSEUM PRINT EDITIONS These each measure 11'' x 14''. They are in excellent condition as pictured with some light corner wear from handling. |
