| The picture shows a view of all (4) Unused 1957 The Cyclops & Daughter of Dr. Jekyll Movie Ad Mat Molds in this lot. The ad mats are not dated but they are from 1957 when these two movies were made. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mats are like miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them and make print blocks from them. The print blocks would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. They are made of a thick compressed paper board. They are hard to see in the picture below, but these admats have images of the Cyclops monster, pretty women, and the face of Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde. They are marked as follows: (#1)
