The pictures show a front and back view of the (2) World War II United States Navy Military Hoodsie Ice Cream Cup Premium Lids in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1940s. Hoodsie lids, also known as Dixie lids, at one time had different series of images such as these military ones as well as movie stars and cowboy heroes. You could have mailed in a number of these (in this case 12) lids and receive one of (24) large colored pictures of Americas Fighting Forces as a premium in the mail.

These three ounce lids are from Hood's Ice Cream manufactured by H. P. Hood & Sons of Auburn, Maine. As pictured, from left to right these are marked as follows:

U.S.S. NORTH CAROLINA
U.S. DESTROYERS ''IN ACTION''

The lids each measure 2-1/4'' wide. They appear to be in very good condition with soiling from the ice cream as pictured.
