The picture shows a view of all (17) Different Small Old Celluloid Novelty Items in this lot. There is a wide variety in this accumulated lot. These items are not dated but they are all old. Included in this lot are the following items: There is a hand held celluloid fan. It has (20) blades with many piercings and painted flowers. It is all here, but apparently the ribbon that was once in it is gone and someone was redoing it but never finished. It looks like the flowered blades are currently out of order. There appears to be no damage and it will look great once again after it is assembled correctly. The fan is not marked and the maker is unknown. There is a large clothing or shoe button hook. It has a celluloid handle with a metal hook. It is marked ''PARISIAN IVORY - TRADE MARK - FRANCE''. There is a long letter opener with a metal blade and a celluloid handle. It has some advertising on the handle that is very faint. It reads ''COMPLIMENTS OF FAIRCHILD BROS. & FOSTER''. There is a smaller butter knife looking celluloid letter opener It is marked ''I'LL OPEN IT'' on the blade. There is a celluloid olive fork drink swizzle stick. It has a clear covering. It could use a good cleaning. It is marked on one side as follows: HOTEL ESSEX BOSTON LOUNGE BAR GRILL ROOM DINING DANCING FLOOR SHOWS STIR PIC PAT. PEND. Next is a small celluloid knitting needle. It has some markings on the side that we can not read. There is some sort of a rectangular shaped clip, possibly for paper. On one side it is marked ''VANITY COMPANY''. The rest of the items in this lot have no markings. These celluloid items include a long chain, a clothing or shoe buckle, a flat sewing needle, a shade or light pull with string, a ring with a rope design on it, (4) celluloid rings, and last but not least, a celluloid pin with a ladies head. Her red has has a broken piece. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the button hook measures 8-11/16'' long. These items appear to range from fair to excellent condition as pictured and described above. |
