The picture shows a view of this Old Gambling Gum Ball Machine Prize Advertising Header Card. It is not dated but it is from the 1960s. The card is titled ''LAS VEGAS MIX''. This is one of the cards that goes inside a gumball machine to intice children to spend their (or more likely their parents) spare change. This one is from an old ten cent machine. The card has a plastic layer molded over the prizes. The prizes could be removed without damage if desired. The card holds the following list of prizes: Mechanical Roulette Wheel Charm. There is a ball and numbers inside and it spins. Squishy Black & Red Rubber Centepede Insect. Miniature Playing Cards. These are the suit of diamonds from the ace to the king. Novelty or Cheating Set of Dice. This set rolls a 7 or 11 every time. Set of Dice in a Metal Key Chain Frame. One end has a hinged lid that opens to remove the dice to use. Three More Sets of Dice. One set is red and green and the other two are white but of different sizes. To judge the sizes the header card measures about 5-1/2'' x 6-1/2''. The prizes are all in mint condition. The card itself has some creasing and a loose plastic covering that was stapled, probably when it was in use in the 1960s. |
