The picture shows two views of this Old Bronze Native American Indian Advertising Premium Bank. This bronze still bank depicts a Native American Indian with braided hair and a single large feather. This was an advertising promotional bank given out by a Massachusetts bank. I do not know the year it was made or used. I would guess that it is from the 1940's or 1950's. There is a slot in the metal bottom and a locked door to remove money. There is no key, but it is most likely a very common one. The bottom is marked "BANTHRICO, INC. CHICAGO U.S.A." There is a brass plate screwed to the back that is marked as follows: NEEDHAM NATIONAL BANK A SHAWMUT ASSOCIATION BANK It measures 6-3/4" tall. It is in excellent condition with a little light corrosion begining that can be seen in both images below. |
