The picture shows both sides (all four panels) of this Colorful RARE 1954 Walt Disney Dell Comics Mailed Advertisement. There are the folds as it was made. When unfolded it reveals a colorful image of Donald Duck playing Santa Claus. He is reading a note from Huey, Dewey, and Louie that is on a huge stocking hanging on the mantle of a fireplace. The other side looks like the cover of a Dell comic book entitled "WALT DISNEY'S COMICS AND STORIES". The image is of Donald Duck about to hide Christmas presents in a closet, while his nephews are hiding inside. When fully opened a two page advertisement is seen with a snow flake border. The ad is for subscribing to Dell's Walt Disney's Comics for 1, 2, 3, or 5 years. Pictured within the ad is a premium Donald Duck book that will be received with each Christmas subscription. The book pictures Donald looking in a window as Chip and Dale play with a paint can and brush. This advertisement was mailed from Poughkeepsie, New York to a Lancaster, Massachusetts address. The order form is not filled in and it reads that "THIS OFFER EXPIRES JANUARY 15, 1955" When fully opened the advertisement measures 14-1/8" x 10-1/8". It is in excellent condition with only light wrinkling. |
