The picture shows a view of both sides of this Small Old Salter's Waxed Dental Floss Lithographed Advertising Tin Container. This tin container is not dated but it is old. It could be from as early as the late 1800s or early 1900s. It is not made to be opened so we do not know how much floss is inside. It appears unused so it could have the full amount of ten yards. The floss comes out of a hole that cuts it. The tin is imprinted in olive green and black on a silver colored tin. It is marked on the two sides and the edge as follows: SALTER'S ''POCKET'' NEW PROCESS WAXED DENTAL FLOSS 10 YDS. SALTER SILK CO. BOSTON NEW YORK CHICAGO CUT HERE SALTER'S ''POCKET'' SUPERIOR QUALITY ANTISEPTIC WAXED DENTAL FLOSS PURE SILK PATENT APPLIED FOR SALTER SILK CO. BOSTON NEW YORK CHICAGO The tin container measures 1-1/4'' wide. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
