The pictures show views of all (148) 1930s Newspaper Comic Strip Character Premium Paper Dolls & Clothing in this lot. The last three pictures show the color of these better. The other pictures appear yellow from the lighting when they were taken. All of the dolls, clothing, and accessories are bright and colorful. The first picture below shows everything that is included in this lot. The other pictures show a little closer view or different angle of everything. There are (33) different paper dolls and (115) different paper clothing and accessory items. All of these were cut out of the comic or funnies section of 1932 and 1933 newspapers. There are partial comic strips on the backs of each with many being Felix the Cat. Most of the dolls have the Artist name ''Jimmy Murphy'' on the base. Below is a list of the comic strip character dolls. Some are repeated because there are more then one doll. All of them are different. They are as follows: Toots Mabel Charming Elsie in 1894 Everett J. Chuckle in 1894 Casper Dick ????? Teddy Hoofer Teddy Hoofer Buttercup Toots Toots Uncle Everett Sophie Hoofer Danny Hoofer Danny Hoofer Papa Papa Junior Margie Lou Pippen Little Sister Toots Col. Hoofer Uncle Abner Uncle Abner Spare Ribs Marvin Graydon Alex Tootsie's Cousin ''Mabel Charming'' Bunny Casper Junior's Sister Elsie All of these for one price! In the pictures, we had placed the clothing and accessories near the dolls that we believe that they go with. To judge the sizes the bottom left ''Toots'' paper doll measures about 5-5/8'' tall. These had been neatly and carefully cut out of newspapers and appear to be in mint excellent or better condition as pictured. Some of the little tabs are folded over in the pictures, but they are all there. Only one doll has a tear on his legs (top row second from left). Some of the dolls are mounted on old packaging card stock paper and others are not. |
