The picture shows a view of all (26) Old Swimming Award Medals in this lot. These are all believed to be from the Chicago, Illinois area. They were one by one young man. Many of these are dated. Those that are dated are from 1949 to 1956. The ones that aren't dated may be from before or after those years. These are made of different kinds of metals and are from different events. Some of these are from the Beverly Country Club, the Hinsdale Invitationals, and some are from O.P.C.C.. Many have the event and place taken engraved on the back. Many have raised images of swimmers and divers. There is one ribbon with a metal pin at the top. It is marked as follows: 50 YD. SWIM CHICAGO PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS ATH. ASS'N. 28th ANNUAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 25 YD. POOL AT CALUMET H.S. APRIL 21, 1955 JUNIOR 2nd PLACE These could be researched to find out who won them all. To judge the sizes the ribbon measures 6-1/8'' long. These vary from excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
