| | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Cleaves Cafeteria Advertising Confederate 500 Dollar Bill. This is NOT a real Confederate bill. It is a COPY of a 1864 Richmond, Virginia bill that was used for advertising. We do not know when this was used but it is at least from the 1960s or earlier. It has the Confederate flag and Lieutenant General T. J. Jackson. It is stamped on the back as follows: CLEAVES CAFETERIA 1715 G STREET, N.W. WASHINGTON 6, D.C. The bill measures about 7-1/4'' x 3-1/4''. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured. It is clean and there are no creases or any other damage on it. |
